What you'll do

  • Own the long-term vision and strategy for BillionToOne's prenatal event marketing function, ensuring national conferences, regional programs, and experiential marketing work together to drive commercial objectives.
  • Develop the annual event marketing strategy and investment plan, making data-driven recommendations on where the company should invest, expand, optimize, or reduce event spend based on business impact.
  • Define audience segmentation, event portfolio strategy, channel mix, and integrated marketing approaches that maximize pipeline generation and customer engagement.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership, Sales, Product Marketing / Marketing and Medical Affairs to ensure event marketing supports company priorities and go-to-market objectives.
  • Own the event marketing function's contribution to pipeline generation, revenue, customer acquisition, and commercial performance.
  • Establish KPIs and performance frameworks tied to pipeline, conversion, attendance quality, ROI, and business impact.
  • Analyze performance across the event portfolio to optimize resource allocation, improve return on investment, and guide future strategy.
  • Present executive-level business reviews and recommendations that influence marketing investment and commercial planning.
  • Lead and develop prenatal events support, including full-time team members, contractors, agencies, and external partners.
  • Build organizational capability through clear delegation models, defined ownership, standardized operating procedures, and scalable systems that enable the team to execute consistently at a high level.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, proactive communication, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Develop talent, mentor team members, and create opportunities for professional growth while ensuring the function can scale with the company's continued expansion.
  • Establish communication cadences, planning frameworks, ownership models, and governance processes that create clarity, transparency, and predictability across all event initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent execution quality across executive-facing events, national conferences, regional meetings, webinars, and field programs by building scalable operating models.
  • Proactively identify organizational risks, resolve cross-functional challenges, and communicate mitigation plans with transparency and urgency.
  • Continuously improve operational processes, technology, vendor partnerships, and resource planning to increase efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure BillionToOne delivers exceptional, differentiated event experiences that strengthen the company's brand, deepen customer relationships, and support commercial objectives.
  • Guide the strategic direction of flagship events while empowering the team to own day-to-day planning and execution.
  • Partner with Brand and Design leaders to ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience across every event touchpoint.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging event technologies, and innovative engagement strategies to continuously evolve BillionToOne's event marketing capabilities.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing within the healthcare space.
  • Experience owning significant event marketing budgets and portfolio investment decisions.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen with experience establishing KPIs, ROI frameworks, and executive reporting.
  • Experience managing national conferences, regional events, experiential activations, and multi-channel event campaigns.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities paired with exceptional operational and executional rigor.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with Sales leadership to deliver measurable pipeline growth and commercial outcomes.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional decision-making.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with confidence presenting recommendations and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable operational systems, improve cross-functional alignment, and lead through ambiguity.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments while proactively driving clarity, accountability, and momentum across teams.
  • Preferred: Healthcare, diagnostics, biotech, medtech, or life sciences experience.
