What you'll do

  • Oversee development of donor-facing materials (decks, memos, talking points, stewardship materials, tailored two-pagers).
  • Manage strategic cadence and segmented communications to keep funder community informed and engaged.
  • Oversee individualized stewardship plans and high-impact engagement experiences for top-tier funders and prospects.
  • Own development and execution of prospect engagement strategies to expand philanthropic pipeline.
  • Supervise donor relations team, manage workflows, intake processes, capacity, and project timelines.

What they require

  • 7+ years of experience in fundraising communications, donor relations, development communications, or a closely related field, with at least 2–3 years supervising staff.
  • Deep understanding of how communications supports fundraising including stewardship, cultivation, prospect engagement, and funder-facing product development in a nonprofit/philanthropic context.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex organizational strategies into clear, funder-ready materials across multiple formats.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills and ability to adapt tone and framing to different funder audiences.
  • Experience with audience segmentation, funder journey mapping, or CRM-informed communications strategies.
