What you'll do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a high-volume of technology and commercial agreements, including SaaS, vendor, licensing, and partnership agreements.
  • Identify the risks that actually matter in a negotiation, and know which points are worth pushing on—and which aren’t.
  • Take on increasing ownership of matters end to end, from intake through execution, as you build track record.
  • Use the firm’s AI legal technology daily to speed up drafting, review, and issue-spotting without sacrificing quality.
  • Bring a genuine interest in how AI and technology can change legal practice.
  • Contribute ideas for improving how the team uses AI and other tools in its day-to-day workflows.
  • Advise clients directly on commercial risk and contract strategy, communicating clearly and with appropriate urgency.
  • Translate legal and commercial complexity into plain-language guidance for business stakeholders.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients across the technology industry.
  • Receive structured mentorship and training from senior counsel and take on increasing complexity and autonomy over time.
  • Identify process improvements, product gaps, and emerging opportunities, and surface them to firm leadership.

What they require

  • JD from an accredited law school with active bar membership in good standing.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial contracts, technology transactions, or another drafting-heavy practice area.
  • Law firm experience preferred but open to in-house, legal tech, or drafting-heavy practice backgrounds.
  • Genuine interest in the technology industry and in using AI and technology as part of practice.
  • Comfortable moving quickly without sacrificing quality and able to separate real risk from noise.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable advising business stakeholders directly.
  • Self-directed with strong collaborative instincts; knows when to loop in senior counsel.
