What you'll do

  • Write and edit articles for Medium, maintaining publication quality and accuracy
  • Review content for adherence to style, tone, clarity, formatting, grammar, punctuation, and spelling guidelines
  • Repurpose long-form articles into concise summaries for social media
  • Generate and source images for blog posts
  • Supervise and guide a team of journalists, reviewing drafts and providing feedback
  • Manage editorial workflows in Asana, ensuring deliverables are on schedule
  • Report team progress and roadblocks to the Editorial Manager
  • Compile editorial department updates for monthly company meetings
  • Support editorial initiatives and daily operations
  • Monitor industry trends in content creation and digital publishing

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a related field required
  • Minimum of two years of editing experience required
  • Must be based in the U.S., Canada, or neighboring countries within a time zone difference of no more than three hours
  • Availability to volunteer 8-10 hours per week
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with AI generation, Google Docs, Slack, and Asana
