What you'll do

  • Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain highly qualified faculty for MSN specialty tracks.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, performance feedback, and annual evaluations to faculty.
  • Lead faculty orientation and ongoing professional development initiatives to ensure teaching excellence and adherence to best practices.
  • Monitor faculty qualifications, licensure, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure completion of faculty responsibilities and support consistency across course delivery.
  • Partner with faculty to create a high-quality learning environment that promotes student achievement, persistence, and retention.
  • Guide faculty in addressing student concerns, academic integrity matters, performance issues, and practicum-related challenges.
  • Collaborate with Student Services and university partners to support student success and resolution of escalated concerns.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and academic excellence.
  • Assist with faculty scheduling, workload management, and resource planning.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate faculty, course, and student performance metrics to support data-informed decision making.
  • Lead initiatives that improve program outcomes, instructional quality, and student satisfaction.
  • Facilitate regular faculty meetings and encourage engagement in curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Ensure adherence to university policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support accreditation activities, reporting, and documentation efforts.
  • Assist in academic planning and budget recommendations to support program goals.

  • Master's degree in Nursing required; graduate degree preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered professional license required for programs leading to licensure.
  • Must hold a current, active, and unencumbered Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of application.
  • Applicable specialty certification required for programs leading to certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in higher education, training, faculty development, or staff development at the baccalaureate level or above.
  • At least 1 year of online teaching experience.
  • Previous academic leadership, supervisory, or faculty management experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, develop, and evaluate faculty in a collaborative academic environment.
  • Strong understanding of online learning platforms, instructional technology, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and university leadership.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to student success, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive strategies that improve faculty performance and student outcomes.
  • Preferred: graduate degree preferred.
  • Preferred: Active, compact RN nursing license preferred.
