Senior academic leader to administer an academic department within the School of Nursing & Health Sciences. What you'll do

  • Provide oversight of academic quality, assessment and continuous quality improvement, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation/external standards.
  • Partner on strategic portfolio management to align programs with university strategy, professional trends, market demand, and accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and oversee the school's annual operating plan, resource allocation, curriculum definition and course development processes.
  • Lead talent management activities: recruit, lead, manage, and develop program leaders and faculty; set performance standards and promote professional development.

What they require

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DNP, or related terminal degree) from an accredited institution required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution required.
  • Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license required; ability and willingness to obtain and maintain RN licensure in Minnesota and other states as required.
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching in higher education, preferably in an institution that primarily provides instruction online required.
  • Evidence of successful, progressive leadership experience, including academic administration in a college or university setting; experience with nursing accreditation (CCNE, ACEN), regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement required.
