The Area Manager (AM) focuses on developing and executing Phileo’s commercial strategy in his/her perimeter to drive sales, ensure profitability, and meet local market needs, all within targets. Key Responsibilities: Strategy Development: Align local strategy with Phileo’s Sub-Region objectives, adapting to local customer and market demands. Ensure financial performance within sales targets. Develop and strengthen customer relationships. Lead and motivate local team. Execution & Sales Growth: Implement the commercial strategy to hit sales targets, including local technical support and product promotion. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with regional/national authorities, coordinate with Phileo management, cross-functional teams, and Lesaffre site management when present in the area. A strategic, results-driven role requiring strong leadership and cross-functional coordination.
Education/experience required Master’s degree or Engineer Diploma or equivalent experience. Minimum 8 years experiences in commercial/sales activity, include sales team management. Strong background & knowledge in animal nutrition and health, knowledge of the local target market and their players. Ability to leverage sales negotiation techniques (regarding prices, quantities, reductions, promotions) and negotiate with suppliers for specific assignments, decode purchasers’ negotiation techniques and contracts terms. Solid experience in sales & negotiation role. Fluent English and any other language is a plus. Scope of responsibility: Area East Europe (Poland, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania), part of the Sub-Region Central and East Europe and Central Asia, include in EMEAI Region (Europe, Middle East, Africa and India). Frequent business travels: 60 % of the time.
