What you'll do

  • Respond to customer enquiries about power distribution products in the Southeast US
  • Participate in major quotes and bids with key customers
  • Work with Design Engineering to improve products for customers
  • Provide corrective action reports and responses to quality concerns
  • Participate in customer SRM meetings and scorecard reviews
  • Work with R&D to develop new products and cost-saving opportunities
  • Participate in industry conferences (IEEE Insulated Conductors Committee, Overhead Lines)
  • Fund new standards for wire and cable (IEEE, ICEA, ASTM) and provide guidance to manufacturers on quality

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical)
  • 3–5 years' experience in engineering, preferably with wire and cable
  • Strong engineering knowledge and background
  • Proficient in Excel and strong computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence in a matrix organization
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to think and act LEAN
  • ~25% travel to customer sites and conferences, copying the company policy
