AMS Consultant for IT operations in a regulated financial-services environment. Requires experience in IT Operations/Application Support/AMS and German (min B2) plus English (min B2). Must be able to work rotating shifts, travel when needed, and provide/obtain a certificate of good conduct.

What you'll do

  • Monitor the availability and health of enterprise applications and IT systems
  • Monitor services, transactions, certificates, scheduled jobs, and selected mailboxes
  • Ensure continuous transparency of the overall IT system landscape
  • Perform regular operational health checks and system validations
  • Respond immediately to system warnings, incidents, and error messages
  • Perform mitigation and error containment activities
  • Execute incident analysis and evaluation
  • Communicate with stakeholders regarding incidents
  • Create and manage tickets; escalate to relevant support teams
  • Activate on-call services when required
  • Knowledge transfer between support teams
  • Support system changes and transports
  • Participate in coordinated response activities during security incidents
  • Execute routine operational tasks to ensure secure and stable IT services
  • Review operational dashboards, monitoring tools, and ticket queues
  • Support daily, monthly, and year-end operational processing activities
  • Maintain and execute Operating Task Control procedures
  • Follow and continuously improve operational documentation
  • Document all completed activities using client-approved tools
  • Work closely with Service Desk, Major Incident Management, and Operations teams
  • Participate in maintenance windows, release weekends, and technical implementations
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
  • Support organizational and technical changes across the IT landscape

What they require

  • German language skills (minimum B2, preferably C1)
  • English language skills (minimum B2)
  • Experience in IT Operations, Application Support, Service Desk, or Application Management Services (AMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, systems, and operational processes
  • Ability to provide (or obtain) a certificate of good conduct, as required for work within the financial sector
  • Willingness and readiness to travel as required by project or client needs (including occasional domestic or international travel, sometimes on short notice)
