We're looking for an exceptional, hands-on AI/ML engineer to build the AI and data technology layer that powers Twentyfour's supply chain organization. In this role, you'll design and ship agentic and ML systems that turn component, supplier, and market data into proactive intelligence, letting us find, evaluate, and de-risk drone components and suppliers faster than anyone else. This is a technical leadership role where you'll set the direction for one of SCM's key differentiators, leading a small team while partnering directly with the Director of SCM and R&D. Technical ownership: design, build, and own the AI/data tech layer for the SCM function Agentic tooling: build agentic and ML tooling that proactively discovers, evaluates, and monitors drone components and suppliers Data intelligence: turn unstructured supplier and component data (datasheets, BOMs, market data) into structured, decision-grade intelligence Team leadership: lead a small AI team and set the technical direction, standards, and roadmap for SCM AI Cross-functional delivery: partner with the Director of SCM and R&D to translate sourcing problems into shipped capabilities Data foundation: stand up pipelines, storage, and integrations with ERP/PLM and external data sources Track record: you're an exceptional, hands-on AI/ML engineer who can architect and ship production systems end-to-end (agentic/LLM pipelines, search/RAG, data extraction, ML models) Engineering foundation: you bring strong software and data engineering skills (Python, APIs, data pipelines, cloud) and can build tooling from scratch Data wrangling: you've turned messy, unstructured real-world data into structured, queryable intelligence Leadership: you can lead a small technical team and partner directly with SCM and R&D on high-impact use cases Education: you hold a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field – or equivalent hands-on experience that speaks louder than the diploma Languages: you're fluent in English; German is a plus Domain knowledge: background in supply chain, procurement, or hardware data, and an understanding of components and BOMs Agentic systems: experience with autonomous research or scouting agents Startup mindset: 0-to-1 product experience rather than large-corporate ML teams only Real impact & ownership: Shape high-tech defense systems and take responsibility from day one.
