What you'll do

  • Design and build agentic systems and maintain AI agent workflows and orchestration pipelines that power the platform using Mastra, n8n, or the right tool for the job.
  • Sit in working sessions with creative and product stakeholders, gather requirements on the fly, and translate them into working AI systems.
  • Write, test, and iteratively improve prompts and multi-step systems, creative generators, evaluation/judging panels, and guardrail checks.
  • Manage prompts and traces in Weave or a comparable tool.
  • Craft and run evals.
  • Meet with product stakeholders to understand how prompts are performing.
  • Decide when to use agents versus workflows, where logic should live, and how to keep systems flexible as the product evolves.
  • Ramp fast on the platform architecture and creative pipeline during the first 90 days.
  • Design and ship working agentic workflows during the first 90 days.
  • Get the team’s evals running in Weave during the first 90 days.
  • Partner closely with the Head AI Architect and creative/product stakeholders, taking real work off their plates.

What they require

  • 2+ years in software engineering, including 2+ years building and shipping LLM-powered or agentic systems in production.
  • Experience designing and shipping LLM agent systems end-to-end.
  • Understanding of the difference between agents and workflows, orchestration, tool use, and memory.
  • Ability to reliably shape an LLM’s behavior, personality, and output.
  • Experience building evaluation, judging, or guardrail systems to keep quality high.
  • Hands-on experience running evals and tracing LLM systems.
  • Proficient in TypeScript / JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Active user of AI-assisted coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code.
  • Experience with Mastra or an equivalent agent-orchestration framework and workflow tools like n8n.
  • Familiarity with multiple LLM providers such as Claude, GPT, and Gemini and how model choice shapes output.
  • Must be a hands-on individual contributor, not a people manager or team lead.
  • Must ship working systems to production, not only research, prototypes, decks, or demos.
  • Must own architecture and observability end-to-end, not only prompt writing.
  • Must live in the US.
  • Must not live in California.
  • Must not need any type of immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including F1-OPT, F1-CPT, H-1B, TN, L-1, J-1, or O-1.
