What you'll do

  • Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs, agency regulations, and company policies
  • Track regulatory changes and share updates with the Compliance Department
  • Complete quarterly and annual reporting accurately and on time
  • Maintain SharePoint workbooks, compliance trackers, and department resources
  • Perform peer reviews of manager and Assistant Property Manager certifications
  • Prepare and submit documentation for agency file audits
  • Support compliance staff during agency audits and onsite reviews
  • Assist with corrective action responses after agency audits
  • Communicate with compliance staff, regional management, syndicators, clients, and leadership
  • Mentor and support Compliance Managers and other compliance professionals
  • Identify training opportunities and coordinate development needs
  • Help develop action plans for non-compliant properties
  • Anticipate compliance risks and recommend solutions
  • Resolve complex compliance issues independently

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Significant experience in affordable housing compliance, property management, or a related field
  • Thorough knowledge of affordable housing programs, regulations, and agency requirements
  • Advanced understanding of affordable housing compliance programs and regulations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across departments and with external stakeholders
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently while providing leadership and guidance to others
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use
  • Occasional travel to properties, client meetings, and training events may be required
