Advanced Software Engineer - Customer Success

The Customer Success Engineering team is responsible for ensuring that Feedzai solutions are successfully implemented, integrated, optimized, and supported throughout the customer lifecycle. Our mission is to build new product capabilities, but to deeply understand the product and leverage its full potential to solve complex customer problems. We work directly with enterprise customers, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while ensuring successful deployments, operational excellence, and long-term customer success. You As an Advanced Customer Success Engineer, you are an experienced software engineer with a strong implementation mindset. You are comfortable reading, writing, and debugging production-quality code, but your primary focus is delivering successful customer solutions through implementation, integrations, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and technical leadership. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor for our customers and a technical reference within Customer Success, collaborating closely with Product Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success Managers, and customer technical teams. Your Day-to-Day Design and implement technical solutions that maximize the value of the Feedzai platform; Configure, customize, and extend customer solutions using Java, SQL, and platform configuration; Build and maintain integrations using REST APIs, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and file processing; Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, database, infrastructure, and integration layers; Analyze and optimize application performance, scalability, and operational reliability; Lead technical activities during implementations, upgrades, migrations, and production go-lives; Support enterprise customers throughout the implementation and post-production lifecycle; Review solution designs and implementation approaches to ensure alignment with Feedzai best practices; Mentor other engineers and contribute to reusable implementation assets, documentation, and engineering standards; Collaborate with Product Engineering by providing feedback based on real customer implementations and operational experience; You Have & You Know-how 7+ years of professional software engineering experience; Strong Java development skills with the ability to understand, customize, and debug complex applications; Strong SQL knowledge and database troubleshooting experience; Experience designing and implementing enterprise software integrations; Experience working with REST APIs, messaging platforms, asynchronous systems, and file-based integrations; Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred); Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in production environments; Experience analyzing Java application performance (thread dumps, heap analysis, JVM tuning); Solid understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, scalability, and performance; Excellent communication skills and the ability to work directly with customer engineering teams; Ability to balance hands-on technical work with customer-facing responsibilities; Experience in fraud prevention, financial services, or risk management platforms (nice to have); Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications (nice to have); Experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases (nice to have); The Customer Success Team is responsible for delivering our product to our clients. This includes configuration, solution development, and risk strategy to enable them to address their pain points. We collaborate with our clients to ensure they have the right solution, build out a strategy and training plan for them, and then support them through each phase of our client lifecycle.
