What you'll do

  • Educate Walden University Students using online technology and resources
  • Interact with students within the Blackboard platform
  • Engage with students in asynchronous Discussion Boards
  • Grade assignments and answer student questions
  • Deliver 2 synchronous sessions during the quarter
  • Provide in-person instruction for approximately 4-5 hours per day during 7-day in-person component
  • Publish availability to students through course syllabi
  • Participate in doctoral dissertation committees
  • Maintain currency with research by reviewing articles, journals, and presentations

What they require

  • Must possess a Doctoral level Psychologist license
  • Earned doctorate in the field of study or closely related field
  • Significant record of intellectual and professional contributions to the field of Psychology
  • Experience in the practice of Professional Psychology (Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology)
  • Three to five years of teaching experience at the degree level of the program is preferred
  • Two years or more of online or technology-enabled instruction experience preferred
  • Two years or more of student research mentoring is preferred
  • Expertise in psychodynamic, behavioral, gestalt, and humanistic psychotherapy
  • Experience administering, scoring, interpreting psychological assessments
  • Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of adult students
  • Teaching, advising and mentoring
  • Excellent leadership, communication, team, and human relations skills
  • Experience with distance learning preferred
  • Willingness to travel to provide face-to-face instruction is preferred
  • Faculty Members must maintain their licenses and any appropriate certifications
