What you'll do

  • Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, amortization, revenue recognition, and payroll.
  • Maintain the close calendar.
  • Deliver a complete, reconciled general ledger every month.
  • Manage executed contracts in the ERP revenue subledger.
  • Manage customer invoicing and communication.
  • Manage collections and reporting.
  • Reconcile the revenue subledger to the general ledger monthly and investigate discrepancies.
  • Own corporate card and expense operations end-to-end in Ramp, including policy enforcement, coding accuracy, general ledger reconciliation, and employee reimbursement processing.
  • Own payroll end-to-end in Rippling, including new hire and termination setup, on-cycle and off-cycle payment accuracy, commission calculation, and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Own the accuracy and structure of financial data across Campfire, Ramp, Salesforce, Rippling, and Replit.
  • Maintain clean coding, consistent taxonomy, and reliable data flows between systems.
  • Apply systems thinking to accounting processes.
  • Identify manual work that can be automated or restructured.
  • Use AI tools to speed up reconciliations, research, and documentation.
  • Own accuracy and timeliness in the general ledger.
  • Work with the Controller to turn accounting processes and reporting into repeatable, well-documented, automated workflows.

What they require

  • 4–7 years in progressive accounting roles.
  • Experience in public accounting, Big 4 or equivalent.
  • Industry role experience managing day-to-day accounting directly.
  • Uses AI tools in day-to-day accounting work such as reconciliations, research, drafting, and data cleanup.
  • Systems mindset and ability to understand logic and data flow behind processes.
  • Experience owning accounting operations and month-end close processes with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable as an individual contributor with no direct reports.
  • Self-directed working style.
  • Preferred: Experience in startup or high-growth environments, particularly pre-audit or early post-audit.
