What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts, including researchers, institutions, libraries, and commercial buyers
  • Lead strategic account planning for Elsevier’s research products, aligned with customer business strategies and research priorities
  • Meet or exceed annual revenue targets and drive the long-term growth of assigned accounts
  • Drive new business opportunities for core products and lead renewal activities for core products and solutions
  • Collaborate with Solution Account Managers and Customer Success Managers to maximize customer value and identify growth opportunities
  • Conduct high-value and complex negotiations, including consortium and country-level agreements
  • Develop and execute the Italian sales strategy in coordination with the Regional Account Director

What they require

  • Solid experience selling consultative technology and enterprise software solutions in a B2B environment
  • Experience developing relationships with senior executives in academia
  • Experience working within highly complex stakeholder environments
  • Strong analytical and data-storytelling skills
  • Experience in strategic account planning and building relationships across complex institutions
  • Experience developing and executing medium- and long-term sales strategies in a complex environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in Italian and English
  • Preferred: an additional EU language is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects in a matrixed organisation
  • Ability to travel frequently within the territory (up to 50%)
