About the role HubSpot is seeking a Senior Product Manager I, Data Setup to join our growing team focused on the foundational elements of customer data orchestration. In this capacity, you will own the end-to-end lifecycle of data setup capabilities, translating complex customer workflows into intuitive product experiences. What you'll do
- Define the long-term vision and near-term execution plan for data setup features, breaking down complex problems into manageable product milestones.
- Conduct in-depth interviews and research with customers to uncover pain points and unmet needs related to data configuration and integration.
- Translate customer language and business requirements into clear product requirements documents that guide engineering implementation.
- Partner with design partners to prototype and test data setup flows, ensuring the user experience is intuitive and reduces time to value.
- Analyze product performance metrics to identify friction points and drive iterative improvements to the data setup experience.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to gather feedback on prospect needs and translate them into product enhancements.

Requirements
- You bring a minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in product management, with a significant portion spent in a SaaS environment.
- You have managed at least one product or major feature from initial concept through launch and post-launch optimization.
- You are comfortable making data-driven decisions, using quantitative analysis to validate hypotheses and measure outcomes.
- You demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to simplify complex topics for diverse audiences.

- Validate and drive the path for lookup properties as a resolution to long-standing usability gaps in how customers view and manage relational data
- Close data dead ends through foundational data fixes, including expanding association coverage between object types
- Define the longer-term associations platform vision: reusable components, richer relationship modeling, "Define and iterate on the associative context between objects and activities in HubSpot's data model that makes AI reliable and trustworthy across HubSpot, working with agent teams internally to drive results"
- Engage directly with customers — from SMBs managing simple contact records to enterprise teams running multi-object data architectures — to deeply understand where relational data breaks down
- Drive alignment with PMs, engineers, and architects across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and AI Agents to ensure associations evolve in a backward-compatible, forward-looking way
- Represent the associations roadmap to senior leadership, Ecosystem partners, and key enterprise customers
