About the job

We are seeking a highly driven Expansion Manager to expand Tether’s growth and presence in Cote d’Ivoire through adoption of its solutions, products and services. The Expansion Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying and executing new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships , and navigating regulatory landscapes . This role requires close collaboration with internal teams to develop and implement go-to-market strategies in Cote d’Ivoire and across the region.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional who believes in financial inclusion, digital currencies, and driving innovation in Africa’s financial ecosystem . Frequent local and international travel is required.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record in business development, market expansion, and partnership management . You have:

A degree in Business, Management, or Finance (MBA preferred).

Strong analytical skills and experience in setting/monitoring KPIs.

A proactive, independent, and well-organized approach to work.

The ability to thrive autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments .

A history of successfully building and managing strategic partnerships .

Responsibilities

Business Development & Partnerships

Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities in Cote d’Ivoire and in the Francophone region.

Build strong relationships with partners, customers, and stakeholders.

Build and manage commercial and strategic partnerships with Ivorian banks, fintechs and large corporates

Develop pipeline of USDt integration opportunities across the Francophone countries payment ecosystem

Market Strategy & Execution

Design and implement go-to-market strategies to expand Tether’s products and services.

Track and analyze KPIs to assess and optimize market strategies.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis

Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, threats, and growth opportunities.

Analyze USDt and fiat flows for data-driven decision-making.

Monitor regulatory changes and assess their business impact.

Stakeholder & Government Engagement

Manage relationships with regulators, government agencies, and industry bodies.

Represent the company at key meetings and industry events.

Marketing & Community Engagement

Support and participate in fintech events, conferences, and meetups to enhance brand visibility.

Requirements

Deep knowledge of the Francophone market, culture, and regulations in blockchain, fintech, finance, remittances, and payments.

Existing relationships at BCEAO and national central banks across WAEMU

7-10 years work experience in cross-border settlements, mobile money, and/or payment infrastructures; telecom or banking experience is a plus.

Fluent in English and French (native preferred), with a Business, Management, or Finance degree (MBA preferred).

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with partners, regulators, and stakeholders.

Proven experience in partnerships, KPI monitoring, and business growth.

Analytical, strategic, and results-driven with problem-solving skills.

Entrepreneurial background and project management expertise.

Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with international travel readiness.
