Director-level product communications/operator for a US-remote role. Needs 8–10+ years in strategy, operations, Chief of Staff, program management, or consulting plus 5 years of managerial experience. K–12 or education context is preferred.

Чем предстоит заниматься

  • Design and own the communications architecture across the Product team, including CPO leadership touchpoints, offsites, Product Town Halls, Product QBRs, and cross-functional alignment moments.
  • Improve Slack and other communication flows through the Product team and key channels.
  • Shape the CPO leadership team's cadence and design agendas that drive strategic debate and decision-making.
  • Rethink Product town halls, all-hands, and QBRs to be authentic, engaging, and aligned to key narratives.
  • Establish planned internal and partner-function communication moments with Sales, Marketing & Public Affairs, and Customer Experience.
  • Facilitate quarterly ceremonies and cross-functional touchpoints that surface dependencies, progress, and trade-offs across suites and shared services.
  • Manage and develop a junior team member supporting deck development, research, and communications execution.
  • Set priorities, coach in real time, and create stretch opportunities for the junior team member.
  • Draft internal memos, leadership-facing decks, and department-wide communications for Product leadership.
  • Translate complex product, operational, and pedagogical updates into executive summaries for company leadership and cross-functional partners.
  • Establish and communicate narratives that align product development with broader company objectives, focused on operational excellence in delivery.
  • Ensure leadership decisions cascade to teams with context and ground-level insights flow up to inform strategy.
  • Lead cross-cutting, high-priority initiatives that fall between functional lines and drive them to completion.
  • Monitor team morale, energy, and engagement across the Product organization.
  • Surface team sentiment and translate it into actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Analyze quarterly pulse check and end-of-year employee engagement data.
  • Identify priority improvement areas with product leadership and build recommendations and measurement plans for function-wide improvement.
  • Model and reinforce Product organization behaviors and norms.
  • Shape the lived experience of the organization through town halls, offsites, and one-on-one interactions.
  • Serve as a trusted neutral contact for other departments and Product teams to raise concerns, flag friction, or be heard.
  • Build relationships that support faster cross-functional decision-making.

  • Ability to digest complex research and turn it into concise strategy materials quickly.
  • Ability to move fluidly between strategic and tactical work.
  • Comfort presenting to the executive leadership team and handling hands-on operational details such as spreadsheets or offsite logistics.
  • Ability to build influence across a matrixed organization without formal authority.
  • Strong operational strategy and project planning mindset.
  • Ability to represent the broader Product organization in cross-functional forums and align product development initiatives.
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communications design ability.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in a high-growth environment.
  • 5 years of increasing managerial experience in Strategy, Operations, Chief of Staff, Program Management, or Management Consulting.
  • Experience ideally in technology, education, media, or another content-driven business.
  • Proven experience designing organizational operating rhythms, including meeting cadences, planning cycles, and communication architectures for complex organizations.
  • Exceptional deck and narrative skills, including board decks, all-hands presentations, and strategic memos.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment where influence without authority is important.
  • People management experience, including directly managing and developing a team member.
  • Track record of coaching early-career talent and accelerating their growth.
  • Preferred: K–12 or education context.
  • Preferred: familiarity with curriculum development, the school adoption cycle, or the general complexity of the American education system.
  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
  • Background check required if selected for employment.
  • May be required to provide additional documentation such as proof of vaccination or submit to enhanced background screening such as fingerprinting.
