Чем предстоит заниматься

  • Own and maintain the voter education repository end to end.
  • Build the initial content for every program state, manage the update workflow from research through fact-check and approval, and confirm changes sync correctly and display accurately on the participant side in Rally.
  • Build and own the voter education calendar: registration deadlines, mail ballot request and return dates, early vote windows, and Election Day, and our schedule and cadence for communicating about these things to voters.
  • Serve as the source of truth on voting rules and process for both staff and participants.
  • Track changes in law, procedure, and litigation that affect our program states, translate statute and administrative guidance into plain language people actually use, and know where the line sits between info we can provide and what needs to be escalated.
  • Review and approve any script, FAQ, saved reply, or piece of participant-facing content that touches voting before it goes out.
  • Vet and maintain the list of approved external resources staff can share without additional approval, such as Secretary of State sites, county election office pages, and the Election Protection hotline.
  • Create and oversee participant-facing voter education materials: FAQs, one-pagers, and content, in partnership with the events and content teams.
  • Act as voter protection captain in Slack during events, coordinating real-time voter education support, answering questions live, and owning the escalation path when a question can't be resolved in the moment.
  • Own the intake and escalation process for voter education questions from participants, prioritizing by urgency and resolving directly, including calling county election offices on a voter's behalf to make sure they get the most accurate answer.
  • Partner with the participant experience and partnerships teams to make sure voter education is built into event curriculum, inbox templates, and staff training.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as they arise, with the expectation that your day-to-day mix of work will shift as the program moves from build to peak season.

Что требуется

  • 3–4 years of experience in digital organizing, voter protection, voter education, research, election administration, or voting rights advocacy.
  • Working knowledge of voting rights law and know-your-rights protocols, with the ability to read statute or official election guidance and translate it accurately into plain language.
  • Experience managing content in a CMS or similar tool, and comfort working in structured content systems, trackers, and databases.
  • Demonstrated judgment and precision — you're comfortable saying "I don't know yet, let me confirm," and you'd rather escalate than guess.
  • Strong plain-language writing skills, especially for audiences who may be voting for the first time or navigating an unfamiliar process.
  • Experience training, coaching, or serving as the escalation point for frontline staff or volunteers.
  • Comfortable serving as a go-to resource in Slack during live, fast-moving events, including making judgment calls under time pressure.
  • Comfort building a function that doesn't exist yet — this work is currently unowned, and you'll be designing the systems as much as running them.
  • A strong commitment to non-partisan accuracy in voter education, and comfort holding that line firmly even when a program is moving fast.
  • Access to a computer, reliable internet, and a quiet workspace for live event support.
  • Availability to flex hours during high-volume recruitment and event periods, including some evenings and weekends as we approach November.
