Senior QA Engineer – Salesforce

About the Role
Algotale is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer – Salesforce with 7+ years of experience in software testing and a strong background in Salesforce testing.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience working on banking / financial services projects and should be comfortable testing complex Salesforce implementations, integrations, workflows, and business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for Salesforce applications.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Test Salesforce configurations including Objects, Fields, Flows, Validation Rules, Workflows, Profiles, Roles, Permissions, Reports, and Dashboards.
- Validate integrations between Salesforce and external banking/financial systems using APIs and web services.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through tools such as Jira.
- Work closely with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve defects.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide inputs from a testing perspective.
- Develop and maintain regression test suites.
- Support UAT and production validation activities.
- Ensure appropriate test coverage for critical banking workflows and business processes.
- Analyze test results and provide clear reporting on quality, risks, defects, and release readiness.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation, and testing methodologies.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of overall experience in Software Testing / QA.
- Strong hands-on experience in Salesforce Testing.
- Mandatory: Experience working on Banking / BFSI projects.
- Strong experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Good understanding of Salesforce architecture and CRM functionality.
- Experience testing Salesforce Flows, Objects, Fields, Validation Rules, Profiles, Roles, Permissions, Reports, and Dashboards.
- Experience with API testing and third-party integrations.
- Good knowledge of SQL/database testing.
- Experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, test methodologies, and defect life cycle.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
